As part of this internship, your first immediate responsibility will be to become a heritage explorer. You will also write stories based on a theme. These themes will be communicated by our in-house editor. You will be expected to research article ideas and come up with current, relevant, insightful and popular topics related to an applicable theme.
You will write in-depth, well researched articles on heritage and cover topics such as people, travel, conservation, culture and arts. Once published, you will identify social media groups, pages and handles that will find the article relevant and post/tag them. Interns are expected to contribute articles on a regular basis and stick to timelines communicated by our Editor; certificate/letter of participation will be given at the completion of the internship.
You will collaborate with other interns and researchers on a heritage event such as organizing a Make Heritage Fun event in your city. Organizing MHF will also require you to strategize outreach and promotional activities such as launching campaigns, website management, and content curation among other things.
This internship is location independent – you can participate from anywhere in the world. Your responsibilities as part of this internship do not require travel. Please remember that this is a volunteer program and we will not be able to reimburse any amount that you spend during this period.
At the end of the internship, you will be required to coordinate, organize an event, or write a report depending on your involvement and interest. The certificate will be awarded to you based upon your performance during the six month internship.
