Our country Pakistan�is proud of its cultural heritage. I’ve visited many heritage sites but Badshah-e-Mosque is one of my favorites.�The mosque�is located in the Walled City of Lahore, Pakistan, just opposite to the Alamgiri Gate of the Lahore Fort and there is no doubt�in how perfectly it stands adding beauty to the Hazuri Bagh (garden) which separetes the mosque and the Lahore Fort.�The mosque was constructed by the sixth Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, who, unlike the previous emperors, was not a patron of art and architecture.�The art and architecture is so perfect that one cannot stop staring for a single second.
I offered Maghrib Prayer in the mosque and it felt great. I’ve never felt that way after offering prayer is any other mosque.
The huge courtyard spreads throughout and touches the feet of the raised prayer chamber. The four tall minarets surround the mosque and�add their own beauty to it.
It’s a great architecture and I believe that all heritages should be preserved and open to the public to visit and admire the beauty. As every�heritage has it’s own story and history, which itself is very admiring for the listener.
