GOUNESCO Mehtab Bagh

Taj Mahal Anushka

Thanks to gounesco that i came to know about that this place exist. Many of the people are unaware about this heritage site, this was the last of the eleven Mughal-built gardens along the Yamuna opposite the taj and agra fort known as the MEHTAB BAGH or MOONLIGHT GARDEN.It was bulit by Emperor Babur in 1530,earlier known as Ram Bagh, later Shahjahan called it as Mehtab Bagh. This park just opposite to Taj Mahal across Yamuna river gives magnificent view of the Taj Mahal looking over the Yamuna. You can not expect the grand park here but grand view of Taj for sure that too avoiding big crowd. What could be better than sitting in a beautiful, peaceful park, looking over the Yamuna River at the Taj Mahal! Definitely worth stopping by whilst in Agra, sit on the wall on the river bank and relax!
