GoUnesco Rewards and Kashmir travel update

Gounesco Rewards

GoUnesco has been the reason we have been traveling this year. It is also the reason behind my site and me buying a camera. And today I received goodies from Gounesco as a part of Gounesco Rewards which were announced in July. What these rewards did to me is made me want to write this post.
As far as traveling goes September has been dry but not for long as we leave for a five day trip across Bhopal, Khajuraho, Bharatpur and Agra in three days. I have been to Khajuraho and Agra numerous times but Bhopal, Fatehpur sikri and Bharatpur are new for both of us.

Last time we traveled for the challenge it was in August and the trip was cancelled and changed so many times that we ended up only visiting three sites in Delhi instead of six to seven sites we had planned.

I have already written a bit about Delhi part of the trip and I though I’ll fill you guys in about the Kashmir  part of our trip. One of our college senior was getting married and we got to sample delicious Kashmiri wazwan.

Kashmiri Food

Three days in Kashmir were all about food and then my upset stomach. Can you believe we did not even ride the shikara. Tensions in Jammu blew up our plan of visiting Vaishno Devi, Mc Leodganj and riding the Shimla Toy train.

I am still a bit worried about the toy trains god knows how I will manage those.
We came back with a resolve to have a ten day trip to the valley sometime in May when it is cooler. Did I mention the temperatures were in thirties when we were there. Yup we were sweating. Delhi on the other hand was rainy and humid.

I’ll fill you guys in on our next trip across the northern sites.

Keep Travelling
