In the cultural homeland of Rajputs
Here I am at Amer (Amber) Fort, 11 kms from Jaipur on Jaipur-Delhi highway. I visited the fort while returning from JLF 2016. This is first in the series of five forts in Rajasthan which are declared WHS by the UN. I plan to visit remaining four forts in winter when this desert state will not be boiling. Technically, I have started my GoUnesco campaign with Amer fort and I intend to finish in Rajasthan only.
Exploring food traditions of different regions across the country is one of my agendas during my World Heritage campaign.
and my most prized moment in Jaipur just before visiting Amer Fort was the warm hospitality of a local.
