Greeting the Great Barrier Reef
No amount of words shall ever describe the experience you have hundreds of feet underwater, hanging onto the mask attached to your oxygen tank. The largest coral reef ecosystem is so diverse with its blue, green, red, yellow and every other color from the dictionary, that it is bound to leave you speechless for life. Having to describe it, all I can say is one needs to be there to know why it has earned its right on the list.
Exploring the Island from which you shall go underneath is a must, as it not only gives you an inkling of the vastness of the sea but also makes you realize just how tiny you are in the face of this globe. Tranquility aside, the burst of life in this ecosystem should be experienced firsthand.
Ending on the note
The tourist season might not have been my best bet to explore more deeper, but it let me see the way these places depend on this industry as a way to stay in its natural state and not be overrun by industrial development.
We all have some yet we want more.. We want more yet we never let go.
