The Minar, The Ambassador and The Five Nominees
The first task is on and I have to nominate five of my friends for paying a visit to the heritage site where I took my #GoUNESCOselfie. Well, even before I can say how thankful I am for their co-operation(and patience too!) let me name them right away. The picture at the top shows (left to right) Priyatosh Gupta and Shreya Kapoor while the one below has Sarthak Gupta,Prayant Bansal and Vaibhav Tanwar . I was lucky enough to get pictured with these guys.
Start a talk with someone about the Qutub Minar and eventually we end up spending a day at the place. This is what is special about the monument (especially in a ‘college student’ scenario!).
Talking about Prayant,Sarthak and Vaibhav, I would say that they readily gave me a thumbs up to mark their presence and of course have fun. Besides, these great amigos share interests with me with regard to ‘short-time-holidaying’ and that too when the place happens to be a heritage site. They all know what the monument is about. Visiting the same place with me led them to experiencing it in another dimension. The Iron Pillar captivates Vaibhav while Sarthak and Prayant have a zeal to gain more about the Qutub Minar apart from what they know. On a good note it was all pictures (best ones posted here) and knowledge gathering with them.
One of the other two folks, Priyatosh, likes heritage but also ensures space for the ‘hangout’ fun. On the other hand, Shreya is all enthusiastic when it comes to knowledge about heritage. Priyatosh knows about the Ala’i Minar as equally as what Shreya knows about the Tomb and College of Alauddin Khalji. What went with them was more of knowledge talk and information gaining. Taking pictures stepped in later on. There is actually nothing much to say about convincing them for a visit, they both are knowledge hunters and put friendship on priority. So they had to admit a yes for the visit, without much ado.
