The mysterious Castel del Monte, Italy
The Italian novelist Diletta Nicastro visited in a very hot day in July the mysterious Castel del Monte, one of Italy’s pearls (portrayed in the Italian 1 euro/cent coin). The castle was constructed during the 1240s by the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire Frederick II. It is considered one of the most enigmatic monuments of the Italian architecture. Castel del Monte was listed in the World Heritage in 1996.
Impressive. Intriguing. Puzzling. #mozzafiato
