Kreuzkirchengemeinde Cottbus

The congregation associated with this church has a pretty detailed history online, but I want to add a tiny bit to it. This church is located in what would be my backyard, if i had one, and I'm blessed with organ music every Sunday as a result. When we picked this apartment, we assumed that the church did not have an active congregation associated with it: the gardens look a bit overgrown, the church is quite old, etc, and it was a right bit shock the first weekend I spent here. This organ dates to the start of the 20th century, and survived both WWII (the church was commandeered by the Gestapo for use as a HQ) and the GDR period. It's pretty awesome. The congregation associated with this church has a pretty detailed history online, but I want to add a tiny bit to it.
