1. Ninja over the great wall (1987)

Ninja Over the Great Wall (Long hyo chang cheng), also known as Fire on the Great Wall and Shaolin Fist of Fury, is a 1987 martial arts film that is widely considered to be one of the best films starring the notorious Bruce Lee clone, Bruce Le. The film is set in the backdrop of 1930s where Japan was occupying China. It revolves around Chi Keung (Bruce Le) who takes revenge from Shojiro for killing his master. The last confrontation is completely based on The Great Wall of China.

2. X men (2000)

X-Men�is a 2000 American superhero flick�based on the�Marvel Comics�superhero team of the same name, distributed by�20th Century Fox.

The final action sequence is shot at Statue of Liberty, USA which adds to the excitement and adventure that the director wanted to create. The WHS chosen here plays a very important role in this movie as it is the WHS on which the movie comes to a final end. Here, The X men fight the villain and get their friend free from the villains. The Statue of Liberty is a sign of freedom and it is aptly used in the movie to show the freedom of a mutant from evil mutants. ‘

3. Taj Mahal �- an eternal� love story (2005)

It is a Bollywood movie which encompasses the beauty and history of The Taj Mahal. This movie shows the true love that Shahjahan had for his wife and how much he loved her. The story revolves around Taj Mahal which took 22 years to build and it also portrays the cruelty of Shahjahan’s sons. SHahjahan and his beloved were buried side by side in this great memorial of true love.

4. The mummy (1999)

This movie is based in Egypt specifically in Thebes and its Necropolis which is a World Heritage Site.

In�Thebes, Egypt, 1290 BC, high priest�Imhotep�engaged in an affair with Anck-su-Namun, the mistress of�Pharaoh�Seti I. When the Pharaoh discovered their tryst, Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun murdered the monarch. As Seti’s guards arrive, Imhotep fled while Anck-su-Namun�killed herself, intending for Imhotep to�resurrect�her.

The WHS plays a very crucial role as the Pharaohs used to live there and the whole movie is based on the concept of mummies.

5. Aradhana, (1969)

This is a Bollywood movie which was shot at various location and primarily Darjeeling. The famous song “Mere Sapno Ki Rani kab aayegi tu” was shot at Darjeeling Hill Railways which is a World Heritage Site. The train’s�slow pace and the scenario that it covers has given the movie a beautiful highlight. It is the Darjeeling Hill Railways that gives this movie an edge when it comes to locations.
