Modi - travel to 15 destinations in india with Go Heritage Runs

When people settle in new towns and cities, it takes a while to become the true denizen of the place. The city of Hyderabad presents a contrast between the medieval historical regions, nature’s bounty and the cyber city development. Here are a few public spaces in Hyderabad listed down for you:

Qutb Shahi Tombs:  Veering through the busy lanes of Mehdipatnam, are the Qutb Shahi Tombs. The architecture was defined with a prominent dome and a rectangular base exhibiting the fusion of pashtun, persian and Hindu form of art. The royal members of the Qutb Shahi family rest in these tombs. Built in 16th century, these tombs underwent some restoration during the 19th century under the supervision of Sir Salar Jung III. The serenity around the region is breathtaking.

KBR National Park: In order to escape busy traffic and concrete jungle, a long drive away from the city is not required, but just a move to the centrally located Kasu Brahmananda Reddy  (KBR) National Park is enough. There are quite a few water bodies in the region where it is very easy to catch a glimpse of the pretty peacocks or an edgy porcupine out for a drink. You can get a monthly pass if you decide to escape the concrete jungle every once in a while.

Charminar Night Bazaar:  “ Sahiban dekhie to sahi, dekhne ke paise nahi lenge”  (translates to,  madam, have a look, we don’t charge you for looking around) Now this is a sight to behold during the month of Ramadan in the locality of the iconic Charminar. The night bazaar is lit up and hawkers sell delicious food, ornaments and all things kitschy. During this time, as if the old city is reliving the royal era once again.

Osman Sagar Lake:  A mere 10 minutes drive from the financial district will lead you to green pastures and vast fields and place you finally in front of the tranquil Osman Sagar lake. It is one of the main sources of water supplies in the city.  During and after heavy rains, this region exhibits a different charm when a group of flamingos, aptly called ‘flamboyance, surround the lake, making a picture perfect frame.
