MOVIE 1:(LEADER, 1964):
Indias best-known World Heritage Site, and definitely the most visible touristy symbol of India, the Taj Mahal is India for the millions who visit it every year.
Ek Shahenshah ne banwaake haseen Taj Mahal is perhaps the best example of a song literally praising the Taj Mahal and all that it has come to stand for: eternal love.

MOVIE 4 : (Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India- 2004)
The movie was shot in villages of Bhuj (Gujarat). Bhuj was destroyed in an earthquake on 26th January 2001, six months after the movie was shot. The village shown in the film is titled Champaneer, which is supposed to be located in Madhya Pradesh. This is a fictitious place, but there is a place called Champaneer near Vadodara that is now a World Heritage Site. Coincidently, Vadodara and Bhuj, where the film was shot, are in the same state of Gujarat.
The script demanded a dry location: an agricultural village where it had not rained in several years. To depict the 1890s era, the crew also required a village which lacked electricity, communication and automobiles. Kutch faced the same problems at that time and hence the village of Kanuria, located a few miles away from Bhuj, was chosen. During the filming of Lagaan, it did not rain at all in the region. However, a week after the shoot finished, it rained heavily bringing relief to Bhuj, which had had a lean monsoon the previous year. The typical old Kutch hamlet was built by the local people four months before the arrival of the crew. The 2001 Gujarat earthquake devastated this region and displaced many locals.

MOVIE 5: (SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE -2008)
As Slumdog Millionaire won accolades worldwide for winning four Golden Globe awards, including one for its music and title song Jai Ho, the Central Railway (CR) authorities are ecstatic that a couple of the sequences of this movie were shot at Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) and between Apta and Panvel stations.
The CST station, where the Jai Ho song was shot a world heritage site announced by UNSECO in 2004, has been one of the popular stations used by filmmakers for shooting purpose. The Jai Ho sequence was shot during mid-night when the local trains do not operate. Apart from CST, few sequences were shot at the Byculla yard, Pen and Apta.
Interestingly, Apta, a station in the Mumbai division of the Central railway and some 80 kms from Mumbai, has been one of the popular locations for shooting.
It gained popularity after the famous ending sequence of Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and since then has been popular among the filmmakers. Even a sequence of Swades was shot at the same station. Both these films had won the national and other awards.
