Hello Everyone!!
My name is Astha Rungta and as per the project given wherein we were asked to visit a heritage site, I went to Sri Sathya Sai Institutes of Higher Medical Sciences. Before starting the article, I would like to discuss what heritage means to me and why I chose this place as my option.

Derived from a Latin word �heres�, Heritage literally means �that which may be inherited�. Giving it a wider scope and some amount of personal significance, Heritage for me is something that is given to the world, not in a hope of any profit but to establish a secure and beautiful future.��
It was the bright sunny morning of 11th of December, 2014 and I joined my first company in Bangalore. Standing on the tenth floor, my eyes went across a wide spread building which appeared more like a palace and I decided to visit that place. And, in the evening itself I went to that magnificent building and to my surprise it was not a tourist destination but a hospital. That day was one of the most inspiring days of my life and I never knew that I would get an opportunity to discuss about the same, so soon.

So, the question that arises is why I chose this place and the reason is very simple. I would like to brief the reason in just one line itself and that is �Heritage is Humanity�. I don�t even know whether this place is declared as a world heritage site or not, but for me it is more than any legacy that the world can get in this ever fastening world.
Now, let us know more about this place. Founded by Sri Sathya Sai Baba, this Super Speciality Hospital provides health care to people of every community, be it rich or poor, white or black and male or female, and free of cost. It has its main branch in Andhra Pradesh. All the expenses are covered by the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. Covering all the departments like General Medicine, Dentistry, ENT, General Surgery etc., this hospital has many branches in here nomenclature as Sri Sathya Sai Mobile Hospital etc. This is all about the wide spread presence of this site, now let us get to know its principles and morals which make it most unique.
The best thing about this site is that, more than a hospital it is an abode for patients. They are not only treated for their medical urgencies but are also exposed to the real life lessons. Patients are considered the God�s children and are treated very spiritually and with great care and concern, and this is the reason people call it �temple of healing�.
Furthermore, what I liked about that place is the spirit of Self Help. Be it the reception man, or the guard or any other work men, everyone was a volunteer there. They came and worked as a part of self-service with no payment but only blessings in return. Words would be less to define this chastise place and thus, I would like to end it here, saying that Heritage is what we can give without any self-interest and this site just took my heart and soul.
I request all to visit the place and volunteer for whatever work you are comfortable in. It will feel like heaven. Thankyou.
